The envelope of the palace required monument restoration, consisting of the restoration of all the façades of the palace and revision and repair of all roofs and fencing. The project dealt with all parts of the façades: plastered areas, Arts and Craft elements and artistic elements of plaster or stone including metal plating, steel elements and the bases of retaining walls and the main façade ledge.

Partial repairs to the roofs of all the palace wings took place, including interventions on the wooden roof structure, repairs to roofing where leaks occurred and tinsmith and locksmith elements. Furthermore, repairs and replacement of doors and windows were carried out, including latticework, tinsmith and façade details.
