HYBERNSKÁ OFFICE

zavřít projekt

Hybernská Office is emerging on the site of a former post office strategically located in the heart of Prague, where the urban vibes of Hybernská Street converge with the pulsating energy of the transforming Masarykovo nádraží, becoming a nexus connecting various parts of the city. The competition proposal responds to the diversity of this environment through the horizontal division of the structure into two distinct masses with different characters.

The lower mass with a traditional urban facade responds to the parterre and local connections. It maintains the street line along Hybernská and is accessible from three sides. In addition to serving as the reception for the upper part, a "foodhall" is designed here, fostering permeability between the street and the station during the day. The concept refers to classic train station restaurants and uses the intense traffic in the area to its advantage.

The upper mass is transparent, referring to the broader connections of the building and its connection to the world. It takes advantage of the open space of the platforms and offers panoramic views of some of Prague's landmarks. The upper mass is designed as an administrative unit.
