DĚLNICKÁ MULTIFUNCTIONAL BUILDING

zavřít projekt

In Prague's Holešovice district, on the site of the former Wedler and Nebrich factory, a new multifunctional building has been constructed, offering both residential spaces and commercial areas for retail units and a supermarket. The original early 20th-century production hall was carefully relocated to the courtyard section of the building and adapted for new purposes. The massing of the building is inspired by the characteristic features of the interwar architecture of Holešovice.

To visually reduce the size of the building, the main residential floors facing the street are divided into two distinct masses.

The compact facade area is segmented by vertical bands of semi-recessed balconies facing Dělnická and V Háji streets, as well as across the corner, which is softened and lightened by this element.

Inner Block

Inside the courtyard, there is a historic hall, dismantled during the demolition of the original factory. In the northeastern part of the plot, a green area with trees and vegetation has been created, while additional green spaces are located on the roofs of the seventh and eighth floors.
